Been looking for a 10mm for awhile and never liked glocks.. well I saw this compact 10mm and was thinking it would be a fun little carrying piece.. just wondering if anyone else has one and can share some info/thoughts about the G29

Thanks

I've had one for several years now. I really like it. I got it because I already had a older 20 and wanted something smaller and as powerful.
In the shop where I got it, it was side by side with the Glock 30 in .45 and was about $30-$40 less than the 30. After I paid for it, I asked why. Him say "10MM not so popular" which was good for me, even got a box of ammo from him. I don't think you can go wrong with one, I just wish I could try a compensated model 29 if they make it. Good Luck.

Same as Minuteman: I've have a G29 also... but started with a G20. The Glock 20 is excelellent, just not easy to carry all the time, so when the Glock 29 was released, I had to have one.

It is great for carry, easy to handle and fun at the range, with all the various loads available it s even more fun. If you do decide to get a G29, go with a Wolf spring combo it helps when using the hotter loads :)
Check out Robarguns.com for customizing it, and give the Hornady 180gr XTP a try, the G29 Loves them.

Just got my Gunshop to order me a G29.. picked up 2 10rd 10mm factory glock mags for 15 a piece and a box of UMC 180gr for 15 bucks/50rds.. the rounds are nickleplated.. so i'm sure that added another dollar or 2 to the price of the rounds..

How much should this pistol be NIB straight from Glock? They said it SHOULD be here tomorrow afternoon..

Find out how much they will charge to receive one and transfer it to you for. They usually have a set fee, or percentage. Then find it elsewhere (for less) and have it sent to them. It helps to have a somewhat "Relationship" with a Dealer, or FFL holder. Also let them know full well that you shop around and don't mind travelling to save cabbage. Mine was less than $480 by the way, new.

I'm probably my gunshops number one customer.. I buy something everytime I go in their just about.. they call me by my first name when I walk in.. and even party with some of them..their FFL fee is horrible.. its 25 bucks or 10% whichever is greater.. my HK .357sig I bought from a gunstore in CT costs me 70 bucks to transfer it.. I need to find another FFL or open my own.. 500 bucks a year isn't bad at all..

Verm:

That sucks... I was having the same prob, with a local FFL charging too much even after I had brought from them before. Now I shop elsewhere and get treated right.

Minute:

  $480..  You crook hat
Any sources for Mags at good prices??

Whats this I keep hearing about a 22lb Wolf spring.. where do I get one and how to install it?  Does it really tame the recoil?

Verm:

 Get them at: www.gunsprings.com/SemiAuto/1ndex_menu2NOF.html= http://www.gunsprings.com/SemiAuto/1ndex_menu2NOF.html

Wolff springs do help the felt recoil, get the springs/Guide combo, makes installing the parts a snap.
