Look for a trade-in/used .40 and then buy a .357 barrel. Leave your 17 alone.

You can never have enough Glocks!!! They make you more..........professional!

Nope. As stated you need a new top end. The hole in the 17 slide where the barrel pokes through is to small for a .40 or .357 barrel.

Depends if you have a 3pin receiver or a 2pin. If you have the 3pin you will need a complete 40S&W(G22) or 357SIG(G31) top end and the "Trigger Mechanism Housing".

If you have a 2pin receiver, Don't try it because you will crack the receiver.

All Glocks have pins #1 & #2. All 40S&W calibers and above have pin #3. To standardize production, 9mm Glocks produced after "02(IIRC) have pin #3. The only exception is the G26, it has always had all 3pins.
