| About the only thing that I can think of that I would really like to see made by glock other than a carbine in 9mm, 40, and 45. It would be one standard handgun frame that came with all of the following calibers 22LR, 9mm, 40, 45ACP, 357 sig, and 10mm. Anyone think this will ever happen. I'm not that much of an expert in guns at all but Im pretty sure that glock could come up with one gun frame where all you had to do was take off the slide that is on the gun and put the slide of the next caliber that you would like to shoot (each caliber would be self contained slide barrel springs and whatever else is needed). I'm sure it would be expensive as hell but I for one (and I'm sure I wouldnt be the only one would be willing to pay the price to have it. They could kinjd of make up a package deal for those that dont want all of these calibers but the more that you buy the cheaper it gets. And of course you can forget about the handy carrying case it would all fit neatly in as well. |

That gun would be mediocre in all calibers but best in none. I'd stick to shooting and training with the gun made for its caliber. That said, a Glock 21 can be easily made to shoot .45, .40, .357sig, 10mm, and 9x25, all of the big auto cartridges, with a barrel and slide swap. edit - Now what I would like to see is a Glock carbine with a quick change caliber capability like the XCR. It'd need to swap the barrel, bolt, and insert a spacer to use the small frame magazines. |

How much closer do you need to get? It only takes 2 Frames With (2) Glock Frames you can do the following: a) .40S&W - G22 b) .357Sig - G22 with .357 barrel c) 9mm - G22 with G17 Upper/Extractor d) .22LR - G22 with Advantage Arms .22lr Upper e) .45acp - G21 f) 10mm - G21 with G20 Upper/Extractor |
I just thought there might be a difference in magazine well width to accomodate the wider round that wouldn't let mags be interchangeable. |
The mag-well dimensions may be slightly different. (But the GAP mags aren't really "double-stacked".) I'm not sure, I haven't tried "swapping" mags.  But the overall frame size looks/feels VERY close, if not identical. |

with a glock 20/21 you can get barrels/slide for the following calibers: .357 sig .40 sw 10 mm auto .45 acp 9x25 dillon .45 gap .400 corbon .40 super .22 lr- yes there is a conversion avaiable my local glock dealer has one. I believe .460 rowland was availbe for a time also but i may be wrong only thing you are missing is 9mm luger, 9x21 and 9x23 just get a used 17 or 19 and you've every major round covered in 2 pistols. |
