I saw a 3rd gen. G24 long slide target pistol NIB in a shop today. First new one I have seen for sale in a long time. They are supposed to be hard to find, IIRC.

Had it been a 17L instead of a 24, it would have come home with me.

I bought a 24C slide assembly from glock years ago to try out on my G35. I frankly don't see its purpose. Its too long for competition and i'm not a fan of ported guns for defensive purposes and it really doesn't seem to have much effect on recoil/flip.

What is attractive about a 17L versus a 34 besides the 17L being about an inch longer in barrel lenght?

i know i love mine... It's a damn dream to shoot. Who would ever think a .40 could have less recoil than a .380
