I've heard that the LAPD  has told they're officers to stop carrying their GLOCKs  due to numerous failures, Il. S.P.D. got rid of 1200 glocks  due to failures, the same with Milwaukee P.D....whats the deal?

Some cops simply can't draw their weapons "without" placing their fingers in the trigger and shooting holes in their own feet, would be my guess.

My first G21, (sold on consignment) came by this method from a local HPD officer thru my gunshop.

I'm not talking about operator error- I'm talking about the gun. The gun is not functioning.....

From what I have read they were having problems with cheap range ammo but no problems with the good stuff.  Shouldn't that tell you something?

ps - I own 2 21's and only ever had one problem with either (one of 'em developed a tendancy to "double"; as in one pull of the trigger got ya 2 rounds on the target/ Glock fixed it and problem has never re-occured)

Blown WAaaaaaaaayyyyyy out of proportion (via the net, I'm sure). They had a few problems and are fixing them as we speak. As for whoever else may have dumped their Glocks, remember that LE handgun contracts are not always about which gun is "best"...often they are about politics, money or personal preference, and some people have an axe to grind, while others simply do not want to spend the time and money necessary for good training.

Bigbore's G21 doesn't seem to have reliability issues, no matter how hard he tries.
