I have heard all sorts of diffrent thoughts and ideas and reasons on why the glock will and wont fire reliably when held upside down. but unfortunatly i dont think anyone i have heard from actually knows what the hell their talking about. So i turn to you guys .... what do you know. i would find out for myself with my glock, but full time collage and 2 part time jobs has me pretty buzy.

thanks.

works fine and you can still get good COM hits if you use your sights.

I would think that firing inverted would cause an implosion effect instead of an explosion effect....especially when firing a Glock fordy.

Not that this is a burning issue of contention,  but they work just fine upside down. My guess is that there are some shooters who have problems with breaking the wrist and thus create their own  malfinctions when trying to shoot this way, but the pistols have no problems at all with it.

They fire pretty consistently when held sideways by the Gangstas

WTF?

Okay, I know I shouldn't do this, but I'm going to have to try it next time I get to the range.  Dammit...

Glocks shoot fine upside down. It's not hard . you're making the same sight picture. The only problem is limpwristing due to the odd angle of your arms.

Hold the grip upsidedown and pull the trigger with your pinky.

sounds like a great way to accidently put a hole in your foot.

Just lay on your back and the grip issue shouldn't be a problem.  This will show that this thread was a waste of time.  Of course it will fire upside down.  Hell i'm going to see if my TV will work upside down while i'm at it.  Jesus!

An instructor down at Blackwater demonstrated this and got 9 out of 10 COM shots easily.

It's all about sight picture...etc.

Correct

When teaching new hires I occasionally demonstrate "Sight Picture" by shooting the 25 yard demo shots with a Glock turned completely upside down.  The pistol functions flawlessly and the hits are as good as shooting the pistol right side up . . .

Stupid Glock tricks
