why there is an open cavity at the bottom of the grip? since it allow debris to enter and reach trigger assembly and firing pin, why doesn't all the glocks come without that cavity? does it have a purpose? thanks in advance, Frens |
| I like the fact that if your mag is a little stuck you can get your thumb up in it to get a better hold of the mag but since I use my G19 as my carry gun I use the plug. When I shoot IDPA I take the plug out. Without the plug I don't want to even think about how much stuff could get up inside there while carring IWB |
that is a thing of beauty, I would love to squezze a few of with that |
thanks guys for the replies. btw I found this |
Only problem is that turns your Glock into a NFA item(SBR) if you don't have the 16" barrel. |
Probably not in Italy........ |

Do not buy a plug. The opening is there for a reason. In the event of a "double trouble" malfunction you may need to really get a good grip on the mag and rip it free from the frame. This orifice gives good clearance to the back of the mag for that purpose. I have trained extensively at Oregon Firearms Academy and have experience with staged "DT's" since it is difficult to get a Glock to malfunction. Hope this helps. |
thanks! personal experiences help a lot |
Ops! I forgot, it's also for retention lanyard.![]()
