I just bought my 5th RM08G RMR.
I have an astigmatism too, but the triangle does not bloom like like a true red dot. If you co-witness the irons & the RMR, you present the gun to the irons like always & the dot, or in this case the triangle, appears. I like the ability to get a fine aiming point with the top tip of the triangle, or use the whole triangle for up close fast shooting. With the tip, 40 yard head shots are almost effortless with a little practice & good ammo. And the RM08G's have no batteries to deal with. I like them! John |

Bad for certain lighting conditions such as shooting from a dark room into a bright area. Honestly, that's the only negative I've heard for dual-illum RMRs.

This is true, but I feel the benefits
of the dual's outweigh that issue, combined with the fact that the irons still work in that situation. I would never carry a handgun with a red dot, without co-witnessed irons. John Quote HistoryQuoted:

Oh I'm sold on reflexes, don't worry.
I just wonder why I don't see them on pistols as much as rifles. |

They are addicting.
I have RMR's on 2 G17's 2 FNX Tacticals, one on my Tac-14 & another is going on my full size 870. I have a hard time going back to just irons. John |
