I put an RBU on my Glock 19 and am loving it. So much that I am getting rid of my zev slide for my G34. It's easier finding the dot with the RBU (almost telepathic) and I prefer to run an OEM slide with OEM parts.
I searched some old threads but wasn't able to find a definitive answer. How the hell do you zero the RBU? It doesnt appear to be possible because you just drift it into the dovetail. I suppose you can file the rear sight notch wider in the appropriate direction? Also, has anybody had their RBU for a high round count or ran it through classes? The reviews all seem great but I am curious about real world usage and the product seems to have been out long enough now. Thanks! |

Mount centered on your slide and you can adjust windage only prior to putting the two set screws in. Mine centered on a G29.4 was zeroed properly upon mounting... set screws placed in and then RMR mounted. RMR only needed a left windage adjustment of the dot and it was zeroed as well. Quick enough and painless. Now to see how well the RBU and RMR hold up to 10mm loads out of the short Glock. ![]()

I would suggest adjusting the RBU for windage before installing the optic.
Putting the optic on is a piece of cake if you're prepared, even at the range, so this shouldn't be a problem. Related note; I saw a review that talked about installation that suggested using a hardwood block to drive it in instead of a brass or copper punch. Worked great. |
