Okay, I've read a little about old / new connectors but...

My 43 has a brass test fire date of 6/10/15.

Since I've owned it, I always thought the pull weight was horrible but figured it might get better.  Well, I've got at least 1k rounds through it and the trigger weight still sucks.

I bought a cheap Wheeler trigger pull gauge today and it maxes out above 8lbs.  One time it broke at 7 3/4 lbs.

What are my options to fix this?  I have not taken it apart yet to see what connector is in it.  Does my fire date mentioned abo e help figure that out?

I want to get it down to 4.5 - 6 lbs like my other stock glocks.

Thank you.

You have the original connector.   Swap it for a new one and you'll get it a little lighter.

Thank you.

Do you or anyone else think I should just get the new stock connector or is it worth while going after market?  If so which one?  I'd really like to be in the 4-5lb range.

Take it to a Glock armorer or send to Glock and they will swap the connector for you.

My G43 I bought used was an early model I just swapped it first with a Ghost till I got the new connector in then swapped it.

Which did you like better as far as pull weight?  I'm assuming stock since you took out the Ghost.

I'm not sure but from my reading today the change over seems to be around April 2016.

If you take it apart yourself,  the new one is supposed to be #33564.

I put two Ghost connectors in G43 guns.... my ex had multiple failures to cycle the action which was solved by putting the original connector back in.  I think she was limp wristing the gun but I switched the one in mine back to the original connector even though mine never failed because I prefer the gun be reliable for other users also.  I tend to believe that it must go bang every time so I live with the heavy trigger on the rare occasions that I use a 9mm. I started with revolvers so a heavy trigger is something I can live with if I have to. If you want to put in a new Glock part try that.

Put the factory "-" connector in.  If yours did not come with you can have an armorer install one or send to Glock?  It brings the trigger pull down to 5-6# instead of the heavier 6-7#.  Also the trigger smooths out more with the minus connector vs the original connector.

I'd go stock for a carry gun.   Too many problems with aftermarket stuff.

My fired case is date 4/10/2015 and like all my glocks I just except the trigger as is.

Is this a free upgrade?

Edit: i'm talking about the Part 33564?

I heard if you bring the old connector to a Glock armorer they can get it replaced from Glock for the new 33564 connector for free.

Interesting, I know the gun store / range near me doesn't have a glock armorer or at least as of a couple years ago but maybe i'll check a new one out and see if it feels any different. I googled and for the price I can do it myself if need be.

I didn't have a problem with the trigger pull till I seen this thread and that Glock changed it.

don't listen to the people saying ship the gun back to Glock to get the new connector.  that's stupid expensive.  just order it from glockmeister or glockparts...it's $10

Call you local or closest armorer give them your serial they will get the part from Glock and when it comes in take it to them and they will swap it for you.  It is free if you have the old connector.

Please post a link to the Glock factory "-" connector for the G43.  I am interested to see where you think you can find it.  I have never found it only the aftermarket Ghost ones.

Yeah, I love the G43 but the factory trigger leaves something to be desired. Even with the factory - connector I thought it was still bad. Just get a Ghost Edge connector and it will be like every other gen3 and gen4 you've shot.

My experience with both connectors was I could not tell a difference between the two.  I have swapped back and forth and shot with both neither felt like they have a decreeable difference.  Even comparing them side by side they look the same where the trigger bar interacts with the connector.  Granted the Ghost was polished more but I still could not tell a difference.

Couldn't tell the difference between the factory - and the Ghost, or the factory regular and -?

"-" Glock connector and Ghost.  The difference between the original connector and new minus & ghost was night and day difference.  My G43 was bought used with the original connector and it was clock around 6.5-7# on the trigger.  The new one is clocking 5-5.5 closer to 5 now on mine since I cleaned up the contact points and dropped a lighter striker block spring in.

Weird. I noticed almost no difference between the original connector and the minus. Ghost made a huge difference for me.

That honestly is because you can take the Ghost and the new factory minus and set them beside or overlay and the angle and almost everything about the connector is identical except the Ghost is polished more and Ghost's stamping.
