OK, I am converting my Gen 3 G21 to a 6” long slide.  It looks like I just buy the barrel, slide, and for some reason a new guide rod from Lone Wolf, then put all the rest of my factory parts in the new slide.  Correct???
Why the new guide rod?

So I can just put a stiffer spring on a factory glock guiderod and its fine?  Yes it can be done via sandpaper and a drill press.  Then dremel a slot and screw the factory spring off.
BTW, yes I will just get the guide rod.

Factory spring is 17lb.  What should I go up to for weak factory ammo?
