I picked up a Gen 3 Glock 19 last week pretty cheap.. it was missing the Plunger safety spring so I bought a ZEV spring kit and Zev race connector... here are the issues I'm having... trigger is very... I mean very light, caught me by surprise a few times today at the range.  its nice but i would rather have it a pound or two heavier if that makes sense... trigger is super smooth... other issue I had was with light primer strikes on Wolf military classic.. I only had ten rounds but wanted to see if it would run with it.. I had 3 FTFire
the other issue was a few FTeject... this happened with federal 115gr. FMJ  other than that it ran WWB and perfecta no problem...
so help me fix my light primer strike issue  and my failure to eject issue... what should I look for or change...
thanks

Remove all the ZEV crap and put Glock OEM parts in it and it will likely run 100%. Until you absolutely, 100% understand how a Glock works, don't dick with lighter springs. ZEV connectors are also hit an miss on quality. Buy a Glock "-" connector.

here is my issue with that, the whole reason I'm not a Glock guy is the stock trigger... I have owned a few glocks in the past that I sold just because I hated the trigger .. I actually like the feel of the trigger with all these springs installed.. it's just too light.

If you bought a used G19 with no plunger spring, someone has likely been screwing with it a lot, probably trying to get some gamer trigger pull setup.

I would replace the connector, striker, striker springs, and possibly the trigger bar also.

Which springs did you replace?  If you replaced the striker spring that will significantly drop the weight of the trigger.  I would suggest going with stock striker spring weight.  I also agree with previous poster use the Glock "-" minus connector.
My setup is as follow:
Glock "-" minus connector or equivalent (different connectors have different effects on how the trigger feels)
Zev heavy trigger reset spring
Zev lighter striker block spring
G17 smooth face trigger Gen4 bar
Stock striker spring (changing this will drop the weight of the trigger most of any mod other than some connectors)
This setup yields right at 4# trigger my G19 the break will be crisp, some take up like any Glock but no mushy clunk when the striker is broken.  It is not to heavy but not to light reminds me of a PPQ trigger.

The reason you don't like the glock trigger is because you didn't practice with it enough. Put oem parts in it, dry practice 500 times a night with the ammo in a seperate room. If you still don't like it by then, try a $12 lone wolf 6lb trigger spring and 3.5 connector kit and it will only reduce pull by maybe a lb. You don't have to agree, but you did ask

thanks... I replaced what came in the kit, safety plunger spring, trigger spring and striker spring.... I'll put the stock striker spring back in and see if that makes a difference...then I'll put the stock connector back in and see if that makes a difference...
I shot the gun well today and I really want to like it for a few reasons.. the love it or leave it posts are not helping...

First thing I would change would be the striker/firing pin spring back to original Glock.
That should solve your light primer strike issue and will make the trigger feel slightly heavier.
If it's still too light, change the trigger bar spring back to original.

1st post nails it.  If you want a nice sportsman trigger, buy something else.  Glocks are fighting guns. Polish OEM trigger components and shoot the crap out of it.

If the "-" minus connector is still to low on the pull weight you can use the "." dot connector that is stock in Gen4 Glocks.  It kind of is the bridge between the standard connector and minus.  Some actually like it more than the other two and it has a distinct feel that you do not get with the "-" or standard.  If you use my setup with the "." you can expect about a 4.0-4.5 where as mine you can expect about a 3.8-4.25(mileage on pistol will have the most dramatic difference where you fall in that spectrum).

with a 'minus' connector.

Made me go from 'ewww' to 'huh... I can live with this' on Glock triggers.

I do agree with most of the posters here.

You bought a pig in a poke and neither you or any of us really knows what all was done to this gun except the project was not a success.

Replacing everything with stock just gets you to a solid starting point . Stock stuff is pretty cheap and you will wind up with a solid reliable gun. If that is not the case I would expect Glock will take care of you

After everything is working then you can try swapping in the aftermarket stuff or other stuff that was suggested. Swap one part at a time with some shooting with various ammo after each change.

Good luck!

I know some folks talk themselves into hating Glocks but they really are not that bad , does take some getting used to. It's not about what the guy on the Internet bitches about or really how it "feels" . In the end it is all about how you shoot it after a bit of practise.

I have a old slick grip gen 2 G19 that has minor trigger work done to it that actually feels pretty coarse and funky but I really get good results in the faster stuff like plate shoots and I can slam a target pretty well when I slow down .

Add the heavy trigger reset spring and it make it less mushy and a more crisp trigger.

thankyou.. that is some solid advise.. I do not know anything more than it is a gen 3 with a few thousand rounds through it..   I could have bought just the missing Plunger spring and been done.. I thought "why not everyone else does"...my lack of knowledge about Glocks got me here... I am learning fast and will eventually "get it"

Might have to find one of those and give it a whirl.
Worth a try.

Expect about a ~.25# drop on the trigger pull and the reset tension will increase as well.  I also drop the lighter striker block spring in with it that lightens the take up tension just a bit.  If you have a G19 you might also consider getting the G17 smooth face trigger if you do not like the serrated compact\sub trigger's shoe.

Slow down... slow down... I'm still getting over the whole "I shot a Glock and I liked it" thing.
I've been off the Glock wagon since the 3rd gens showed up... just got drug back in thanks to Polymer80 and Blue Label sales.

Drive to glock or a gssf match and get all the guts replaced free. Then get a glock oem minus connector and a wolf 6 pound trigger return spring.
