Recently got fed up with Taurus and decided to go with a Glock 19 gen 4. Myself and two others from my fire department drove from Jacksonville to Okechobee and participated Sunday afternoon. I think it was a great event. It was perfect for someone just getting into competetive shooting. I enjoyed the rather freelance style of squading yourself. All the RO's were pleasant (well besides 1) and other than a few misunderstandings on some of the rules they were good. Can't wait till the one closer to home in November.

GSSF matches are always fun. Great atmosphere, good people and some cool benefits.
Every match has a Glock armorer to take care of your weapon, answer questions and serve as a valuable resource. Most matches have boxes of mags for sale at $10 each- so stock up and smile. 99.5% of the RO's are saints, willing to offer helpful shooting tips. In over 20 years of shooting GSSF I have attended a lot a great events and met some fine people. Glad you enjoyed it. |

They have mags for sale sometimes? Didn't know that. I was at the last one on April 2nd. Didn't see any mags for sale at that one. I will have to check at the one in November. That would be a sweet deal. I am going to the match in Morganton NC next weekend, hopefully they have some there, I plan to take some extra funds in case. if you see a beat to hell Honda with a big yellow BFL on the rear window I am there.......
