Does Glock have good customer service after theone year warranty expires? No problems with my 2014 G19 other than the occaisional BTF, but I am curious.
If the need for repair work arises after the one year point are their repair costs reasonable? |
| I had an early 17Gen4 that went TU at about 1500 rounds. It was 3 years old at least. I sent it to glock and they "fixed" it. I got it back and at 1800 or so rounds it would not stop jamming. I sent it back to Glock and they called me and told me they could not fix it. They sent me a brand new Gen417 and two extra mags. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. |
| Tried to speak to some one at Glock in GA and it was a nightmare. Ended up just sending my pistol in for repairs after a kaboom and they fixed everything broken then shipped it back to me for free...... Could not get Glock to call me back about sending the bill for repairs to the ammo manufacturer. Was very thankful they just fixed the broken parts for free. The second time I had a kaboom on a 10mm glock I sent the pistol straight to them with out a call and again they fixed it. I then sold both my glock 10mm pistols and decided 10mm is no viable option for unsupported chambers ! I would not want to have to deal with their support over the phone again but they were great about getting it fixed for free and fast. Buffalo Bore ammo was great to deal with as well as Georgia Arms Ammo about stepping up to pay any fees associated with fixing the pistol even though glock fixed them for free. |

Did they say what the issue was that they couldn't fix? The only thing I can think of would be the frame itself being broken or out of spec. Or maybe they lost it. |

A+ If you go to a Glock match you can get all sorts of upgrades for free. How does that work? It looks like they actually have a match in Fulton N.Y. which is about 2 hours away from me. I'm surprised they would have a match here since we're limited to 10 round mags. |

It always had a bad Brass to Face issue. None of my other glocks including a another Gen417 had this. At around round 1500 it got really bad. Weak ejection, constant brass to face and stovepiping. I sent it in and they sent it back in about two weeks saying the issue was fixed. At about round 1800 it started stovepiping bad and I sent it back. The Glock Warrantee guy called me and said when they got it back they ran rounds through it and could not get it to stove pipe. They decided to run more rounds through it and at round count 70 or 80 or so it started doing it to them. They tried to fix it and could not so they sent me a new one. The customer service was above and beyond. Ruger is another company I had another gun problem with and they too were prompt and replaced the entire upper of a rifle for me. |

At the Fulton match even if you don't shoot you can show up and the armorer will go over your glock and replace any broken or worn out parts for FREE. New York as two matches a year right now. |
