Seems like the flash and smoke from the ports in the ported bbl turned the white in my front sight all black and now it's not white no more. Is this a common thing?

I carry a 23c and put alot of rounds through it. It has not been a problem with mine. What ammo are you useing? Could be a cheaper ammo=dirtier powder issue.

cast lead bullets reloads mixed with FMJ factory ammo, maybe it's just the soot from the lube on the lead bullets.
