Gent's,

Finally pulled the trigger (no pun intended) on one of these bad boys The trigger on this one is the best of all my Glocks...unbelievably crisp and light!

Welcome to the club. I love my 17L. It has gone to the range with me every time I've gone these last 2 months.

those things are like manatees to me... so ugly and weird they are good looking! I don't like Glocks but this appeals to me.

I was so excited to finally get one back in November. Now I have shot only 100rds through it, but pissed to say it reliably ejects the cases up and strait back 1 to 3 feet. So I can either watch them fall through my sight picture or take one to the head every dam time. My other glocks don't do this, including a gen4 26.
Very stupid problem for glock to not have straighten out by now, been reading complaints about BTF for over a year. Any 100% solution to this without sending it back?

The accuracy between the two is very noticeable for a handgun.

I've heard of guys taking down 400 lb. Hogs in Texas with with G20L's (10mm) and G23L's chambered in .357 Sig.

IMO, you can't go wrong with a Glock Model L in any caliber.

And BTW, I'm not a Glock Fan Boi (however I do own one G30 and I like it).

What lb. recoil spring is on the 17L?  How much heavier is the 17L slide than the 17?  Maybe a lighter recoil spring is needed?

I have taken down a 150# hog at 7-10m with a 357Sig.  I walked up on one and my rifle was slung over my back and he started to move toward me so I drew my G32 and before I could even get my second hand on the pistol I fired and hit the hog in the face\head the round went through the brain down the neck and ended up in the torso and that was that.  I think had I not taken a shit earlier that morning I might have filled my pants up.

17lbs, same exact recoil spring assembly as the regular 17.  You can certainly use a lighter recoil spring though.  The slide isn't much heavier than a 17.  Glock removes a lot of metal from the 17L slide; in addition to the slide cut behind the front sight they also remove a lot of metal from the inside of the slide.

Congrats on the 17L. I bought one as well. Their great pistols. They are sorta rare. Don't come around often. Not as rare as a gen 1 G19, but, still not real common guns.

Enjoy. They hold resale very well BTW. I had to pay $590 + shipping + transfer fees for mine.
