My brother-in-law just bought an old gen Glock 45 that doesn't have an acces. rail and was wondering if there are any aftermarket rail solutions out there for him.

Does anyone make a rail for these Glocks that can be attached by a gunsmith or something?

Thanks.

There's a place that swaps out the whole lower frame - but note that it's the serialized part - so it's considered a gun

There are lights (I assume that's what he wants) that can be installed with out rails.  I don't know anything about them though other than that they appear to clamp to the trigger guard.

Below is a pic of my Surefire P111D... as stated, the rail mount bolts to the trigger guard to fit frames with or without factory rails and provides QD capability for the light.  This mounting method relieves weight/pressure that would otherwise be applied to the bottom of the frame and potentially cause reliability issues.
