Just bought a new grey G19 frame. Looking to put a mos slide on it. Any ideas of what brand ? I'm not wanting to pay $430 for the factory glock model.

Why don't you just send off your slide to have it machined for your RDS of choice??

These guys (AETI) Just did me a hell of a job on my G17, installing a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro. Very reasonably priced and quick turn around time too!

Blue Label 19 MOS, $489.  Swap the slides.  Sell the extra G19 you have left over.

does glock sell those slides aftermarket? i have a buddy at a LGS and he said the rep told him glock was not going to sell MOS aftermarket slides by themselves.

Definitely have your slide milled. I haven't seen anybody yet that was happy with the mos.

Had mine done by JagerWerks. Did a great job.

I'll second this. Seeing as how we're Jagerwerks eskimo brothers.

I read some unfavorable stuff about the MOS as well and ultimately I liked the idea of the RMR being mounted directly to the slide, with supporting posts.  Looked like a better distribution of recoil forces.

Jagerwerks did not disappoint and I'm sure I spent less than I would have on an entirely new slide.  Buy a $30 carbon Kap from them too and now you've got a filler plate in case you want to take the optic off.  Boom.

This.

I have around 2k rounds through my 19 and no problems to report. I know in the beginning people were either using the wrong screws, not loctiting, or not torquing the screws.  I have had 0 problems and I don't baby my shit.

Do any of you saying there's problems own an MOS or have owned one? Or seen this first-hand?

I've got over 3000 rounds on my G34 shooting USPSA not one problem.

I haven't seen  "problems" as much with the mos as much as people not liking them and preferring milling. Personally I don't like the added height. It's hard to find sights that work because of the added height with some optics.

Your cheapest way out of this is to buy a black G19MOS. Swap the slide over to your grey frame provided of course your frame is gen 4. I've never seen a gen 3 or earlier frame be grey, so you likely do have gen 4. Gen 3 slides do not work on gen 4 frames.

Then sell your black frame to recoup part your money.

I wanted a grey frame G41MOS. But, could not find one, so I bought me a grey frame and then started looking at the MOS slide prices. It IS, by far, cheaper to buy the the pistol you want. Dealers make more money selling them in pieces I found out.

Now, you will not have a matching serial numbered Glock. I still have that grey frame (they share frames on the 10mm and .45's). I found a grey G41MOS and bought it. I have several G21's, but only one is gen4. I can swap the slide from the black frame to the grey frame, but, serial numbers would not match. I like my Glocks to have matching serial numbers. That just my quirk. It does not, in any way affect it shooting. Only time it would matter is if you want to sell it.

guys like me look for matching serial numbers on used Glocks.

I have a black G19. I bought a grey frame to use time to time. Kinda like fde furniture on my Ar. I can switch between black and fde.

I figure why not get a mos slide as well and have 2 pistols. Just didn't want to pay the $430. I'm hoping Glock starts selling them separate for about $300 and I would jump all over it. Come on Glock !

I have three Glocks MOS with Vortex  red dots they all work with many rounds thru them. You have to have the right screws when mounting red dots and use blue Loctite. Here is a picture with two of them.

I found finding sights very easy, picking out the set I wanted was the only Challenge.

Agreed, Suppressor sights are more common then folks think.

I personally prefer Dawson Precision Suppressor height sights for Glock MOS.

Lovin' my G40 MOS!  Not a lick of problem.  Running a Vortex Venom.  If I were to put an optic on a G19 MOS, I'd look at the Delta Point Pro.
