Gents,
Can anyone give me a ballpark estimated value on a used Gen 2 Glock 17C? The gun is a former Police duty weapon. I got it from one my my LTs to use as a training gun to supplement my Gen 3 G17 when I carried it, but I went from Glock to HK for duty carry, so I was looking to off-load the Gen 2 G17C. No idea how many rounds through it before I got it, but I've probably put 1,000 more rounds or so through it. I had an Armorer tear it down and inspect it. Only the RSA needed relacing, which I did. Trigger is buttery smooth (for a stock Glock trigger, anyway. Only mod I did to it is a set of XS 24/7 Express sights. Finish isn't too bad; some minor holster wear. Serial is CHKXXXUS. I checked placeslike Armslist and Gunbroker to get an estimated value, but came up empty. Any help on an estimated value or where I should go to find out would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

not any different than an other G17gen2 The 17C does not bring the money that a g19C will/does. Seems like there are more of them. They can be found on gunbroker. If a 19C is on gunbroker, well, it's "usually never more than one, but usually NONE. They usually command almost double the price of a 17C. I would ask 450 if it has all it's original parts-mags-case, decent wear. I paid 750 for my 19C LNIB. And considered myself lucky. I would have had to pay more had it made it to gun broker. Mine is a 99.5%er, everything there, NO wear at all. There are some 17C's being made again from my understanding in gen 4. If this is correct, does not help resell of yours. Then you may have to ask lower. I saw some for 400 on GB. |

The 17C does not bring the money that a g19C will/does. Sure they do....look at "Completed Auctions" on Gunbroker. Seems like there are more of them. They can be found on gunbroker. If a 19C is on gunbroker, well, it's "usually never more than one, but usually NONE. That's because Glock discontinued C models as a regular production item. The reason you see more 17C's NIB on Gunbroker is because Lipseys had a distributor special run earlier this year. And GB only has three NIB 17C's right now. They usually command almost double the price of a 17C. That's not true. I would ask 450 if it has all it's original parts-mags-case, decent wear. I paid 750 for my 19C LNIB. And considered myself lucky. You got took. http://www.gunbroker.com/item/572027353 I would have had to pay more had it made it to gun broker. Mine is a 99.5%er, everything there, NO wear at all. There have been plenty of LNIB 19C's on GB over the last year for less than $600. There are some 17C's being made again from my understanding in gen 4. If this is correct, does not help resell of yours. Then you may have to ask lower. I saw some for 400 on GB. Quoted:

That July 17th 2016 auction lasted around 15 minutes. I do know one thing, wish I had saw it first......and the example you post began at $450 selling "Buy Now" at $575, in 15 minutes with only two bids. $575 is at or over new price, when it sold new; depending on where you would have bought it.
As fast as it sold, tells me somebody got a great deal. Win some, loose some. Last time I checked, a used gun is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. When you say look at "Completed Auctions", I can't find that; using those search terms. It keeps leading me to GB's build a report system. Please, not being sarcastic, I would love to know how to access the completed auctions area without being charged for the report. When I enter that search term, it comes back zero items. I tried it in the categories too. I go to advanced search, then it wants to charge my account, minimum 10 bucks for building a basic report. Please, let me in on how to get to that area. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Add: I did find a 19C for sale currently on GB, here is the auction number: 587964746 G19C.....bidding begins at $775.00...... @ OP: try to sell your pistol for higher dollar than suggested.....can't hurt....and you'll find it's value rather than keyboard commandos pricing it for you....(that includes me) |
