Thinking of putting a used G30s on layaway, Been wanting to get a 45 for awhile. Just wondering what people that own them think of them an what would be a good price for a used one?

I had one that i traded in a while back. I liked it and ccw'd it pretty often since my duty weapon is a 21sf... but for the size and weight it was easier to stick with my 19. It was a very nice shooting 45 though. Just out of curiosity... I see you're in Pa... what store is it?(just wondering what the odds are that it's mine) you can IM me if you don't want to put the name of the shop.

As for the price... I usually don't buy too many used guns... but I would imagine(at a shop) somewhere in the high $400 - low $500 range depending on sights and overall condition.

Love my 30s. Don't like the 19. 30s feels better in my hand. Only mods are night sights and polished trigger bar. Edc for me unless I feel like going full size.

I EDC a 30s and have been very happy with it.

She likes to eat HST's.

Very happy with mine. Accurate, eats everything I have fed it, and recoil is more of a big soft push than a snap.

You will like it.

I love my 21SF but the 30 and 30S I never could warm up to.  For the same size package (less actually) I can carry my 19 and have 15+1 vs 10+1

I sold my 30 due to needing money.  Most accurate soft shooting 45 I've ever had.  I'll have one again and it will be a 30s this time around.  Can't go wrong OP.

Good used price around here would be $425-440.  That said I have yet to see a used 30s for sale.  Have seen several 30's for this.

Aren't they similar in size to a 19?    Considering one myself right now.

I recently picked up a used one for $475 with night sights and a Serpa holster.  I love it so far, I added a Zev trigger and did a trigger guard undercut. Feels amazing in the hand and shoots really nice, I'm just afraid I went too thin on the undercut. I think I'll be buying a new frame from Glock, it would be nice if they could send me a Gen 4 frame instead though...

The only other Glock I have owned was a Gen 3 23 and I don't remember the mag release requiring so much of a grip change

This mine just sits and rarely gets shot,  The 19 gets carried 99% of the time.  The 30 is a cool pistol but 45 vs 9 I am not going to go there just 15>10.
The 30s is a big carry improvement over the 30/30SF since it does not feel like a brick in the pants.  I am kind of happy Glock finally made a slimmer slide for the 30s it does make the pistol less top heavy in the hand like the 30/30SF feel when the mag is running dry something that I have never liked about the 21 because it is much worse but I am nit picking.

Good luck finding a used G30s they are rather popular and to this day I have never seen a used one.

The 30 (including SF and Gen4) is thicker in both the frame and slide, basically a compact 21.

The 30S has the same frame, but the slide from a 36 (~G19 width)

Great shooter.  Put a Streamlight TLR3 on her and use for home defense.

The only problem with it was It only came with  one mag.

Mags are plentiful. Local gun shows and Cdnn will have them. You might also want to look into the Pierce mag extensions. They add a nice place for your pinky.

I love a G19, and have several. When I wanted another Glock in 45 to help burn ammo with my 1911, I chose the 30S because size wise its pretty much identical to the 19.

It is a really nice shooting gun, and I like it a lot. Bone stock for now, but I pan on changing the sights and the mag release, as it really digs into the palm of my support hand. When I get a ccw holster for it I will put it into the carry rotation.

I have a Glock 30 SF that I carry a lot.  It allows me to shoot .45 ACP or 10mm with the same gun here in Alaska by just changing barrels and mags.  The extra Bar-Stow 10mm extended match barrel is very accurate and controllable with Underwood ammo that I carry for bears when doing farm work or hiking with the dog. With a standard 15 rd mag and a grip adapter it feels great in my hand.

The Vickers mag release will help with that. Protrudes more than the factory one but less than the factory extended version, really makes a difference to me. I install one on all of my non Gen-4 Glocks.

I love mine it's roughly the same size as a g19 and uses the same holsters as long as they have adjustable retention. 10+1 rounds of 45 acp in small concealable pistol with very manageable recoil.

That's not a SF

Looks like a Gen 2.5 Glock 30
-No accessory rail
-Lack of LCI on extractor
-Older "dull" finish

I was thinking the same thing, the lack of rail gives it away.
