Can a G17 trigger guard be opened up with heat? I want to make more space for my finger tip so it won't drag on the inside of the trigger guard. Dalerj

Remove trigger bar, use dremel and hone out the inside area below the trigger of the trigger guard, and use heat gun to re-blacken the roughed up plastic.

Use a larger backstrap or after marker backstrap to create more distance.

I'd undercut the trigger guard first.  It'll get your grip fingers up higher, thus altering the natural angle of your trigger finger.  It also allows your hand to get closer to the bore axis and eliminates glock knuckle.

Changing the interior diameter of the trigger guard will probably change holster retention.  So I'd avoid it.

Good call. It is a very common retention point.

All my Glock holster lock up on the inside front of the guard not the bottom.

Im not so sure about that, all of Agency Arms's guns have the inner trigger guard trimmed out a little at the front bottom of the guard. Mine retains fine in my holsters, but that is a sample size of 1 so YMMV.

If you thin the front.  If you're thinning the area below the trigger it won't affect anything.

I did this to the bottom of my G32 trigger guard long ago.  As others have stated, most holsters retain on the front of the TG.
