I have always been one to run my firearms stock for the most part. I'm of the opinion that if it needs to be tricked out, then it is not reliable. That is why I shoot Glocks So, now I have a question. What are the pros and cons of the various weight recoil springs. Since some very reliable parts sources carry them, I have come to think that there is more to this than the "sell them what they ask for" policy. Any armours out there, or shooters that have experimented with this? |
| Most Glocks use the same weight recoil spring(#17). I change out all my 40s guide rods/springs to #20 springs w/SS rods and my 357SIG, 10mm, 45s to a #22 spring. This seams to dampen the recoil(not that I'm bothered by it) and it does stop the "slide peening" in all my Glocks. The down side is that those that are used to the stock spring sometimes have a hard time chambering the first round. |
