I feel your pain!! I just picked up a G17.4 MOS. that will keep my OD G19.3, Black G19.3, Full Grey G19.4, and my G43 company. Still want an FDE and BFG G19 too My 21, 30, ,23, 32, 27, 37 need company because they never get taken out anymore. But they still fight with the 1911s and Sigs.... CZ is pretty quite does not make much ruckus since it is new kid on the block and the M&Ps just hide out in the back. |

No 26??? I banish thee! Back to the gun shop you go Got a 27 I do not really like it rather have a 17L or G19.2 to add to the collection .... It fit perfectly in the center console of the car so it stays there. I carry a 19 and have no desire to care a sub-compact. You avatar is fitting for your comment as well. |

I don't know what it is about a 26, but I shoot mine better than any Glock I have. Got to a point where I needed to unload a gun to be able to buy a CZ SP-01, so I unloaded my G-17L. Still have my 34 but the 26 is a little tack driver. LOVE IT....!! |

The 26 just carries so well on me and since im in Kommecticut I dont have to worry about capacity

Just the other day someone on here posted a very interesting article by Ayoob about reasons for shooting as well or better with subcompact glocks. It struck a familiar cord with me as well. Give it a look here SC Glock shooting And btw thanks to whoever posted that originally. It's a fascinating article that got me doing a lot of thinking. I'd love to give you credit for it but I just don't know what thread it was in.... |

Dude I'm right there with you, I've been buying a Glock a month for a while.
I love them all, but if I only have one the G17 is hard to go wrong with. I've got hooked on the MOS both in competition & EDC with 54 "next month "year old eyes the red dot has made me a sharp shooter. Glock on my brothers. BPPC |

In my case it is just Pistol tend to multiple...... I like pistols! Also this Glock has the frying pan finish not the new park finish. Yeah I do like other brands as well, One for instance is my Les Baer Custom Carry with the 1-1\2 guarantee amazing pistol. But there's just something about Glocks. |

In my case it is just Pistol tend to multiple...... I like pistols! I'm the same way. I view rifles and shotguns as tools and have little desire to buy a bunch of different ones that do the same thing. However I probably have over 30 handguns in the safe and have several more on my wishlist. I also shoot them about 10x as much as my rifles. |

Buy used! I always look at used cases rarely even look at new except when I am looking for a Legion 226 SAO. Quoted:

Been looking a G17 gen 4 myself. Gotta sell some stuff first though Buy used! I always look at used cases rarely even look at new except when I am looking for a Legion 226 SAO. Used but like new 19.3 with night sights and 3mags/box just yesterday. |

I fail to see a problem OP. Congrats on your recent acquisition and I see you have a nice Gen. 2 G17. I picked up a very nice gen 2 G17 at a local pawn shop yesterday myself. http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr7/honkonthree/5CF8D33F-0891-4705-B1CB-3DCA6A5272CE_zpsk93qdja2.jpg Very nice
Funny thing is I prefer finger grooved frames I bought my Gen2 on a whim and because it was a good price. |

The finger grooves fit my hands near perfectly and I like them also. I do love the Gen 2's though. |

http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag1/bradwd/GlocksMidsize_zps43a05f60.jpg Dayem dude. Is the white lettering a diy job that is permanent? If so, what do you use? I would not want it to turn into a constant maintenance issue. I don't have the patience for that. I know how to do it on aluminum with etched text with nail polish and alcohol. But those surfaces did not get solvents on them every week. |

Love the Gen II edgecrusher...... And hardshell, bite your tongue, the 26 is what made me like glocks. I have considered getting a G43 for the lady but I cannot get her interested in carrying. Unfortunately it is much to small for my hands I wish Glock had done like the gen4 and made it where the grip circumference could be increases. That is why I have a PPS M1. |

Quoted:
The PPS is an option for me as a SS9 if I don't get a G43. Got my hands on a PPS M2 the other day along with the M1. Much prefer the M1 grip as the slimmer, contoured M2 grip doesn't fill the hand enough to suit me. I bought my M1 long before the PPS M2 was ever conceived but I got it because the bigger backstrap game me the hump the filled my hand like Glock has been doing for years on the full\compact pistols. |

Unless you are going to CC it, skip the 21 and get the 41. I love my 41 better than any of my 21s, shoots great, looking to get another one soon. Quoted:

I bought a SCAR because it looked cool, my Lee Enfield I bought because I think they look bad ass, my P226 I bought because it looks bad ass! I carry a G19 because it is practical and works great but I also think it looks bad ass! Anyone who says that looks has nothing to do with choice they are lying unless they buy hi-points. |

For some reason I think all black Glocks look ugly. Well, maybe not ugly, but not really anything to look at. Give them a color and they jump up to a 10 for me. Weird. That's real practical. Need a color as it lives underneath my shirt. ![]()
The real question is: Does your new 17 run? You haven't said you shot it yet. I'm always curious to see if people's 9mmer's have BTF. Or how bad it is. Mine does it sometimes on the last round of a lot of mags. But it's not enough for me to be upset about. |

I have had zero time to get to the range but I will report back this weekend plus my new sights will be here Thursday or Friday. You did not think I would actually shoot a Glock with those crappy plastic sights now did you. That is not tier 1 enough especially if I were to run into one of them mall ninjas at the range I would not want to look like some noob. I have a set of Vickers\Wilson sights with FO front coming in.
I ordered a who lot of 303 British ammo for my Lee Enfield so I am going to do a few mad minutes and bust my shoulder up then get down to business with the G17. |
