Hello everyone! Long time looker first time poster.
Ive got a Glock 29 gen4 that I use to carry in the woods around the cabin. I have installed a 4.6" (i think..longer than stock) KKM barrel for better chamber support and shooting hard cast bullets. This is strictly a woods gun and I will be reloading my own full power hard cast ammo for it. Anyway, last week I was shooting some Underwood 200 gr hard cast and was getting BTF that left a nice smiley face on my forehead. I contacted GLOCK and they just suggested a Gen 3 ejector, P# 336. I googled the part# l and looks to be the same as the on I have now but mine is stamped "8196-Z". Anyone have any ideas? Also would I benefit from a heavier recoil spring? if so what LBS would your recommend "full power" loads Other than the KKM barrel and trigger then gun is stock. |

I run a Barsto match barrel, and a 22 lb Wolff spring in my 29, and do not have brass to face problems. Granted, mine is a Gen 3 and born in 2010. I believe I have the same ejector, though. Definitely step up to a stiffer spring, my frame was getting beat up with the hardcast Underwood until I went with the 22 lb spring. The 24 lb spring gave me some cycling problems with some lightly loaded factory 10mm, so I stepped down to the 22 pound. |
