So I just picked up a Glick 22 for a song, the only problem is that I don't particularly care for .40, and the rest of my pistol stuff is 9mm, including a few 17 magazines. Anyways, I want to use the pistol as a back up to my 19 for carry and clashes, etc. Eventually, I also want to put an RMR on it and try out that fad. I like the space gun look as well, but don't have the coin to drop on a Zev slide in the foreseeable future.

So anyways, beyond a conversion barrel, is there anything else I need to do to make the switch? New extractor perhaps?

I asked the same question a couple weeks ago.

Had a bunch of responses that said their conversion was reliable, no problems, changed nothing but the barrel. I don't think there was 1 response that said they had problems.

I've only run about 75 through mine as of now, no problems.

Lone wolf alpha wolf is what I just picked up. Threaded and fluted for like 150. I have about 400 rds without a hiccup.

I don't know, research it and tell us.  S3F barrels have turned out absurd groups in the guns I've put them in, and I've never experienced a failure, thus I recommend them.

I have no experience with the Alpha barrels.  I do have experience with their previous line of drop in barrels, and have found them to be total shit, IE broken lugs, worse accuracy than factory, etc.

I converted my glock 22 rtf2 into a 9mm, changed internals and obviously the barrel. Even put a trijicon rm05 on it.

My lonewolf has run flawlessly in my G22.4 with a 9mm ejector, extractor, magazine and the black spring loaded bearing. I wish I could get it coated black to match the gun though. It's nice that LWD blind marks their barrels now.

I have a Storm Lake for my G27 and an old Lone Wolf for my G23.
Never had an issue with either one.
Never had to add any other parts other than a 9mm mag.
