Hi to all

I have several Glocks that I have picked up over time with all of them being gen 3.

Recently picked up a second gen 3 G26 that was absolutely pristine.

Owner indicated it had been shot very little and appearances seemed to confirm that.

However, I did notice that the slide tabs on the frame have a very slight copper color in wear marks.

I was a bit surprised, because I had never seen this on my other Glocks.

Would be very surprised if these tabs were some kind of plated metal that would wear through.

Seems that an obvious design would be some kind of very hard, solid steel tabs.

Are you sure your not seeing the copper colored grease Glock puts on new guns, might have dried and stuck on the rail guides.

If I were to venture a guess I would say FPNI. That's how the factory grease appears.

Congrats on getting a great gun!!

Cheers!

That's a sure sign that it hasn't been shot much.

There is a copper substate under the plating on the rails.

Normal.  Happens when the rails wear in, not the factory grease...well it could also be the factory grease on this gun, but the rails do get a copper color when they wear in too.
