Hey guys, looks like i've picked up my first glock 19.  Very excited about it.  When shopping for a gun, I rented the glock, the sig p320c, and the springfield RO to give me an idea of what I wanted.  The glock i was hands down most comfortable with, however I could not get over the trigger on the sig.  Is there a good (reasonably priced) aftermarket trigger that would mimic the trigger of the sig?

Thanks for the help.

I have the following setup in my Glock 19 it is closer to the feel of the PPQ.  The Sig has a different feel IMO but still close to my setup.

"-" connector
Heavy trigger reset spring
Lighter safety (striker block) spring
G17 smooth face trigger

My 19s have G17 smooth faced triggers.  Also, pics or it didn't happen.

Will post as soon as it arrives from the FFL!

Was thinking of starting with this, and a spring kit?

Is this a carry pistol?
2# trigger seems rather light IMO for a carry pistol if you are doing the spring kit.

Personally I never really liked the race connectors.  I would suggest if you are wanting a good connector either get the stock Glock "-" or a Ghost Edge 3.5 or Ghost 3.5.  Pair that with the heavy reset spring at the very least.

Plan is for it to me a range / truck / boat / hunting gun, maybe carry it when i feel i really need to.  Got it because i liked the way it shot, but it also could be carried if the need arose.  Most of the time will be shooting at the range or out on the boat.

I personally love the feel of the flat faced triggers (below is the agency).  Mine borrows most of the internal parts from once of my competition glocks so it's tuned about as much as you can without making you scared if it will light off a primer or not.  I have no qualms carrying this configuration and split time with it and my 26.

Parts list:
Zev v4 connector
lightened/skeletonized striker
lightened striker spring...i believe this one is the zev 3#
heine ledge sights
enhanced trigger spring
agency trigger
agency magwell.

Sorry for the gratuitous Shadow Custom porn thrown in but i couldn't find any other pics of my 19.

To keep things simple, i would look into a few basic parts.

1. Smooth Trigger with a Gen 3 trigger bar -

2. Glock OEM  Minus connector -

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Glock-Factory-OEM-minus-connector-rated-at-3-5-pounds-SP00721-Brand-New-/282021273551?

3. Apex Safety Plunger -

Polish these parts according the the .25 cent trigger job you will find posted in a thousand places, and you should get a nice trigger. Go with this for a while, and if you still think you want to make some changes, then look at custom triggers(Overwatch, Agency, APEX), and springs

Thank you both. I like the smooth faced trigger as well.  I think the "-" connector from glock will be my first upgrade.  Is this a hard install on your own?

Would you also recommend a spring such as:

http://glockparts.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=6817&CAT=749

Thanks for the help.

On another note, went and shot another gen 3 yesterday at a range by work, waiting on mine to come in.   Why do people hate on glocks so hard?  The range officer scoffed at me when I told him i bought a glock 19 because that's what i'd wanted since i was growing up as my first regular handgun.  "must not have come with taste" or something shitty like that

The connector is easy to install I would suggest putting a heavy trigger reset spring in otherwise with the "-" connector alone you will get a lighter but mushy clunky trigger.

Screw the haters you like what you like.

10-4.

Whch spring should I go with?

Edit:  Read up at lunch today; ordered a Wolff Comp. Spring and a NY1 spring.  going to try stock, minus connector only, then connector which each spring to see how i like it.  Thoughts?

Congrats on the 19! It's probably one of the best choices out there! I owned a 320compact that I wanted to love. The trigger was great! But it just didn't do anything better than my 19. I have the stock trigger in mine... It's not the 320 trigger... But after a .25 cent trigger job, dry and live fire... I really can't complain about it anymore!

Eta: one of the things I really didn't like about the 320 was the fact I would get the "dead trigger" while dry firing. Granted, it never happened while live firing... It was always in the back of my mind. After a Google search I found others that were having the same "issue". I would dry fire, keep the trigger pulled to the rear, rack slide, reset trigger... And nothing. I'd also get the double crunch on it as well... Although it felt great when it didn't do it... IMO... It made the Glock trigger that much better to me.

The NY1 will increase the pull weight and also make the trigger similar to that of a revolver DA feel.

So i've read.  I'm betting i'll prefer the Wolff spring and "-" connector.

Getting nervous about doing the .25 cent job myself (don't want to use a dremel).  How difficult is it to do?

30 seconds with a dremel cotton buff wheel and polish.  Don't be skeered

Try the zev race kit, but don't install the firing pin spring.  You can add or remove springs/parts to get the pull you want, and it's like 25 bucks for the whole thing, and you will learn a bunch about your glock internals fiddling with it

I agree with this.

Most of my Glocks are set up this way. A little polishing and springs. I have only had to change one and that was the striker spring on my G40 back to stock.
