I have not handled either one of these.

Can you guys tell me, subjectively, what do they feel like in rapid fire?

Does the reducition in slide weight change the balance of the pistol noitcably on a relatively short platform like a G19?  Doe sit shoot "flatter?"

Same question for the heavy guide rod vs a stainless steel or the OEM plastic guide rod.

Thanks!

Tagged for answers.  I'm interested in the weight reduction.

There is no substitute for good grip technique, however, lightened slights and flatter shooter guns are very simple physics.
Lighter moving parts (slides) and heavier static parts (guide rods, frames, frame parts, heavy magwells, etc) = a softer, flatter shooting gun. Whether you feel the difference or not probably depends on how in tune you are with the gun, but it's not a debate. It is FACT that it shoots flatter and softer based off of real math.

Pretty much this. The question is really can you shoot faster than your gun will let you? Do you find yourself waiting for the gun to come back down?

This is just my opinion, but I think you have to be a very advanced shooter to be able to benefit or even notice the difference......but I maybe wrong, interasted in reading more comments.

I suspect the least expensive aid in rapid fire is probably under-cutting the trigger gaurd and a $29 plastic mag well to firm up the grip.

But the skeletonized frames look cool.

Is there an industry standard for a CC pistol like the G19?  There must be different cuts for longer slide lengths.  Many of the patterns just seem to be whimsical.

I'd think that you would want to leave more metal in place around the muzzle to keep it a bit muzzle heavy.
