Put 150ish rounds of 124gr handloads through it, and then went back to the 115gr Blazer, and it ran fine. I want to run some more cheap stuff through it. I figure if it runs 115gr stuff, it will run just about anything. 1 mag of old 124gr bonded golden Sabre ran without issues as well. The gun definitely tracks better with the comp then without. And I like the size of the Legion. |

Question for the guys with PMM comps: is the rocksett 100% necessary? Seems like it would make it a pain in the dick to clean the gun if you can't easily take the comp off. Or am I just overthinking things? (I'm thinking about getting a barrel and comp for my 19x with the Biden bucks to get my fauxland going)

Just remove the RSA and tilt the barrel out. |

I agree with Joe that it isn't necessary to remove the barrel completely to clean it. You can run a boresnake through it without disassembling, and you can slide the barrel forward to wipe down the rest of it. |

Tolerances are tight, so attaching the comp to the proprietary barrel, you gotta have it lined up *just* right. Something to know with these comps - they are steel and not aluminum like most, so the 3-port might require a different recoil assembly due to the weight and the 2 extra ports. |

New user here. I skimmed the thread, so forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but does anyone know if the KKM Glock 19 Match Gen 5 Barrel with 4-Port Compensator is compatible with the ZEV Z19 Gen 5 Duty stripped slide? I called KKM and they weren't sure, and I couldn't get ahold of anyone at ZEV. The bullnose looks the same on the ZEV and OEM slides, but I can't be certain. I'd really like to have a Roland of my own, and the ZEV slide was the only one I could find online at the moment. If the KKM barrel/comp doesn't work maybe the PMM one will.

I just found out last night that RCS is making the Freya magwell for 17 Gen 4.
I know Mr. Pressburg mentioned having a 17 with RMR, so is it still considered a Roland Special? Too lazy to dig through this thread. Sorry, but not sorry. |

View Quote There seems to be an "official" Roland, but the whole category of carry comp. Which includes various unit guns if you want to cove something specifically, to really any modern defensive handgun with a light, comp, and slide mounted red dot. If you want to "clone" so be it. But in reality you're probably better off just building the comped gun YOU want |

Anyone like setting up a 26 or 43X like this?
Humble Marksman did a video where he shot a USPSA match with a 43X Rolandito and did fine. He's an M class competitor and only shot a little off his regular score. Can a Glock 43X compete with a 2011? Using a concealed carry gun at USPSA in OPEN MINOR |

Deserve's got nothing to do with it.

How's it shoot compared to an RMR'ed 19? |

Originally Posted By FunFirepower: I'm not Paris Hilton, but That's Hot. How's it shoot compared to an RMR'ed 19? View Quote Different but not any worse. The compensator keeps the rotational recoil low but the push to the rear is still pretty sharp, exaggerated slightly by the slimmer frame. I've shot about a hundred rounds of 124gr +P HSTs through it and its very manageable with those. Interesting thing about the RMRcc, the window really isn't much smaller. The vertical measurement of the glass is much smaller on the RMRcc than it is on the full size but it doesn't really matter. On the regular RMR the glass extends lower but from the shooter's perspective that area is behind the body where the emitter is. If you tilt the gun up enough to look through that portion of the window the dot wouldn't be in your field of view anyway. In short, the RMRcc is essentially the same as a regular RMR on in vertical window measurement; it is still a tenth of an inch narrower. |
