So how does this work? I have a Gen 2 frame (dammit! Austrian marked too) that has some slide bashing...from which I have no idea how as it has a stainless steel guide rod...the ejection is all over the place so I guess it's time to get a Gen 4 frame. How much does this cost and yes, I know I need to contact Glock, but just thought I would do some recon here to see what you all say... |

Send the frame to Glock. They will replace it. I have heard of this, but yours is first one I've seen do that. However, you will never again have a gen 2 frame because they haven't made any in 20 years.
A gen 4 frame will NOT fit your gen 3 slide. Gen fours are made for the dual recol spring clearence. The height would not be correct. A gen 3 will fit your slide. They make new gen 3's along side gen 4's. Your serial number will change because it's the frames serial number that matters. |
