I bought a lone wolf slide spacer that claims you can then put a lone wolf long slide on a G19 frame.

I already had a long slide and barrel for my G17 (which I assume is the same long slide that they sell for the G19 conversion as they do not list a specific G19 long slide only on their website).

Well, when I put the adapter piece on the slide and then reinstall the appropriate longer barrel (also a lone wolf product) and then replace the G19 recoil spring as is required, the slide will slide all the way back but then will not slide forward enough to lock up and there is a 1/8 inch mismatch as the slide overhangs the rear of the frame.

Basically the gun is not fully in battery, it then takes some fiddleing about to get the slide off again.

Is there something I am missing with this?

G19 factory slide works fine no issues.

Easier to take a 17 and do a grip chop to take 19 mags

then the gun has all glock parts and operates flawlessly.

Chopped 17 is definitely the way to go.

Mine is now my favorite gun by far.

Yeah well, that's not this case.

Thanks, for the response though.

For information I have chopped 3 17's to 19 grip lengths.

But this 19 is a SBR stamped frame. I want to put a long slide on it to go in my KPOS frame.

I think Lone Wolf makes a barrel for that application.  A 17 barrel will not work with a 19 locking block.

This.  You need the 19L barrel from Lonewolf.

You could try modifying the 17 locking block to fit the 19.  AFAIK, the front ears are longer.  Other than that and the different angle, it may fit.

As stated the problem is in the different locking blocks between the 17 and 19.

You'll have to get an XL barrel and have it threaded.

That will cost as much as SBRing one of my 17's

So looks like uncle sugar gets another $200 and I get another stamp.
