I grew up shooting 1911's, continued to shoot them in USPSA-IPSC and [cough] IDPA, and sometimes CCW

I've always liked the Glock design, but hate the grip

Decided to try the Brownells grip reduction method to remove some of the goofy luger grip angle

I used Epoxy from the hardware store

Compared to my 1911

Dupli-Color truck bed coating, applied with a sponge.

next step is replacing the cheezy plastic factory sights

Very nice, OP. I have an early Gen 2 23 w/ night sights. Prints nicely in blue jean pockets.

I'm getting better at the grip angle. I think it's not as distinct of a difference on the G26. Which is what I have. Pointing with the thumbs really helps. It's just a mental thing to try and remember. But it gets easier with time.
