for those of you with a 17. how far is your brass ejected. mine are not flying very far from the gun. most are hitting me in the face or landing on my strong arm. i bought the gun brand new and have around 400 rounds through her so far. so far her diet has been 115gr WWB. i have not had any kind of problems at all, just thought they should be ejected a little further from me. it is not a real problem, more of an annoyance. so how far are your empty case ejecting? i may have to send the slide back to glock and have them look at it, if this is not the norm. thanks SM |

It's too early to send it back to Glock. Get a case through it before you start worrying. My G17 was noticably tighter than my G19 when brand new. In fact, I had a stove pipe on the very first round and another around the 500 mark. My brass would hit me in the arm, head, shoulder or flop onto the bench. It really started to loosen up and throw brass around the 1500 mark. My G17 now has over 3000 rounds through it and one Blackwater class under it's belt and she runs like a top. I've read that several other people were experiencing "tight" G17s as well about the same time I bought mine. My G19 required no such "break in" but for some reason the 17 did. Just keep shooting it and it will loosen up. |
| 115 WWB can be rather weak. Buy some 124's of a different brand and see how those work. From my experience with Glocks, if the brass is coming back at you the load is not hot enough. I had some light loads for my G-21 that about every third one would smack me in the forehead. My G-17 did the same thing until I got the power up to an appropriate level. |

thanks for the info guys. i will wait on sending it back and run some more rounds through her. as far as limp wristing goes, i had a buddy of mine shoot it and it was ejecting the same way for him. i will pick up some different ammo and see what that does also. thanks again |
