I have a rather unusual question.
I am about to buy a gen 1 glock 17 that has had it's sights replaced with new trijicons. Since this will be nothing more than a range toy, I would like to remove the night sights (and put them on my 19) so that I can reinstall the factory sights. My question is: Is there a source for the old glock staked front sights and would it be possible to install it at home? I'd like to bring the pistol back to 1986 correct. |
| Why not just use the newer front sights that screw on? Much more secure and can be reused. Part of the reason I hate the staked sight was I have knocked them off before not even doing tier 1 mall ninja tacticool shooting ..... just drawing from holster and shooting. |

Quoted: This. I don't know where you can even buy the old ones. Quoted: Quoted: not worth the effort. just put a new post style front sight This. I don't know where you can even buy the old ones. Not to mention you would need the staking tool. (Remember how much of a PITA that was?) |
