Had a set of these installed on my 19.  I love them.  My only issue, is the rear sight is sharp, the edges of the backside are almost like razors.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Remedy?  I carry IWB and certain movements dig them into my side.  I'm also expecting that after time they're going to tear my shirts apart.  I'm not a fan of the idea of taking a file to them, maybe lightly sand them?

Carry holster is an INCOX, not looking to change that for something with a guard either.

They are sharp as in not rounded corners, but not like they will cut me if I rub my finger over it with some pressure

Ok, I'll give them some time see what happens.  Thanks.

They are sharp and this is a common complaint with them... actually one of the only complaints people have about them.  I've gotten used to it.  Some people have tried to smooth down the edge but I have not heard of anyone who liked the finished results.

I've got them on a M&P and love them.  What holster are you using OP? If it doesn't have a slide/body shield that's why.

INCOG at 9:00.

As I said, it's only when I do certain movements.  I'll just not make those movements anymore.

I hit all of mine with some fine sand paper to round out the edges and corners slightly. The goal was to get from out of the "draw-blood sharp" category so finish damage is minimal.

That's what I'm thinking.  My OCD can deal with some finish wear more than I want to deal with worn shirts and bloody sides.

Yes, and I don't like it, but I haven't cut myself or damaged any shirts yet so I'm going to leave it be.

Ive cut myself with mine on my 19 several times during courses, or movement drills at the range. I took a small file and tried to round the edges off with pretty poor results. I carry appendix as well, and have found that a little cant in the gun makes the sights not as likely to stab you in the stomach if you have to bend. Sitting never bothered me, but trying to bend at the waist sure as hell did

I carried my 19 with HDs for about an hour in an Incog. Holy fuck it was bad. After modifying the holster to cant the gun forward I've had no more problems and carrying and concealing is easy. What I'm saying is the gun being oriented straight up and down was the issue.

Just a thought: Ya know that plastic dip stuff they sell at Lowes or Home Depot that you can use to coat hand tool handles? It is durable as hell if properly applied ans creates a blunt cushioned edge on sharp metal. $3.00 and a box of Qtips and 5 or six coats over a weekend while you watch TV and the problem is solved.

The thing about plastidip is that unless the part is fully 'encapsulated', it's going to peel right off.  It's not very adhesive and depends on the geometry of the part to hold onto it.
It would likely peel off the first time you holster it.

I would grab a jewler's file and some Birchwood Casey super black.

My email from Trijicon said filing would void the warranty.

Been looking at a set of Trijicon HD's for a Glock 17 GEN 4 myself.

Do they shoot to the point of aim?  Heard that the POA/POI might be off due to the height of the sights.

I was afraid of that.  I just sold a FNS9 with the same sight picture and the POA/POI drove me absolutely nuts.  Might have to just order the OEM night sights or a fiber optic option with a blacked out 10-8 rear.

It's not a huge deal to me, I guess I should have clarified a little bit.
I'm usually shooting IDPA targets, so a COM aim ends up being a 6 oclock hold on the "A" zone.  I'm only doing this on 20yd+ targets because it can be difficult to quickly distinguish the A zone at longer distances.
Anything closer and I'm covering COM with the front dot.

I bought my OD Green G19 wth a set of Trijicon HD's on it, I didn't care for their height and sharpness on the G19 so I removed them and installed a set of GLOCK factory night sights on it. They have a much lower profile and no sharp edges on them. I love the Trijicon HD's but I don't feel they are the best option on a carry size gun like a G19 that's just my opinion.

To me the factory night sights have way too tight of a sight picture on a short gun like a 19.

I have used a factory front night sight and an Ameriglo plain black .164 or .180" notch Classic rear and liked that setup a lot on a carry gun.

For full size guns, I really like Warren sights.

I was having the same issue with HD sights on my 19 and 43.  I finally gave in filed down the sharp edges at a 45 degree angle, then touched them up with a super black pen.  I'm very pleased with the results.
