Checked for any posts but haven't seen anything so posting this. Who has one and your opinions for a CC?

The Glock 27 is a great pistol if you like the 40 S&W cartridge.  I carried a Gen 3 from 1999 to this year when I bought a Glock 43.  The only disadvantage of the Glock 27 is it generally has a little more recoil than the Glock 26 9 MM.  My Department issued Glock 22's so the Glock 27 was a natural BUG or for plain clothes/off duty.  I am carrying the Glock 43 now since I'm retired but I have no plans on selling my Glock 27.  My 27 was totally reliable, accurate and easy to conceal IWB.  The 27 is a little large for pocket carry and a little heavy for an ankle holster however I still carried my Glock 27 in a Fobus ankle holster above my boots.

My agency issued Federal 180 grain HST which is an effective round out of a Glock 27 but the recoil is not for the timid shooter.  I place more faith in shot placement than the difference between 9/40/45 defensive rounds.  I usually carried my Glock 27 nine plus one and one spare 10 round mag whereas now I carry my 43 6+1 plus two spare mags (20 rounds 40 versus 21 9's).  I feel confident with either 9 or 40 and would have no hesitation having a Glock 26 instead of a Glock 27.

If the Glock 27 fits your hand and needs I'd say buy it.

I had one and liked it a lot. My only gripe was that I couldn't control it with flush fit mags and using mags with an extension made the gun the size of a Glock 19 so it didn't make much sense.

been looking at the extensions. Put the wide straps on which helped. I was pondering between this and a S&W shield. Glock won. Currently have a SA XDm in 4.5 inch barrel but to large to carry concealed. I reload but usually 180 gr XTP's but was thinking 155 grains to reload for the Glock. Appreciate the responses.

I have a Gen3 and rarely shoot it, never carry it, and it sits in the center console of my fiances car.  It shoots fine, never had any issues with it, but I prefer the compact size Glock over the sub.  Only change I have done was a smooth G17 trigger.

This.

I will say unless you like .40 S&W or are required to carry it(I am), get the 26.

ETA: Forgot to add my opinion. I really like mine. It shoots great and is nice and light. With the Concealable Control floor plates you don't even notice the short grip.

Took it apart to lube for the 1st time. What a PITA to push those little buttons to slide off. My fingers were sore as hell after about 15 minutes of trying.

You are doing it wrong it should be very easy.  Use the read sight and your thumb to take the slide out of battery slightly and that will take pressure off .... They also make extended ones as well.

My wife and I carry one everyday. Our agency issues the 35 and 27 with policy requirement on carrying an issued weapon off duty. I have no problem carrying in an IWB or on an ankle. If I carry OWB I usually have a 13 round magazine with a sleeve in it. Give a little more to hold onto. Shoots great but has decent recoil with 155 gn gold dots.

Have not shot it yet. All my rounds for my other 40's are 180 gr XTP's so will test these out soon but do plan on reloading the 155 gr XTP's I just picked up to compare. Use power pistol for my hollow point reloads and tight group for the ball.

The pins are recessed almost flush but will try your suggestion on next cleaning. Thanks.
