Does anyone have any issues with their g30s mags. I have had 2 issues.
The mags have a hard time loading the last round. 10 round and flush 9 round. Once in a while the last round does not hold the slide back. |

Once in a while the last round does not hold the slide back. No issues with my slide lock but the mag springs are very stiff in my 10 rounders. I leave them loaded and have noticed them softening a little. |
| When I first got new mags the last round was a bitch to get in, but it gets easier as you use them. It's not near as bad now (6-7 months later). That's pretty normal so I wouldn't call it an issue. As for the last round not locking the slide back. Never had that problem, not with weak handloads, hot handloads or any self defense ammo. *shrug* |

Might you be holding the slide lock lever down with the firing grip? I only mention it because that's what it was in my situation. I can do it so easily if I draw with a bad grip. My thumb lines up perfectly with it. The mags will get easier with use load them up and leave them loaded and use them. |

I have a 30s and I download the magazines by one round. I had a Glock 21 during the assault weapons ban and only used the 10 round mags. Even for a full size they were difficult to get the last round in.
Racking back the slide on a full magazine would actually dent the casings due to the excess pressure in the mag. It's my personal belief based only on my experience that Glock is insistent to claim a full 10 rounds of .45 will fit in a mag when it truly should be a 9 round mag with a little room for spring relief. I'm guessing your slide won't hold open on the last shot because a fully loaded mag has diminished the springs proper function. |

I found that by down loading and then reloading it became easier. |
