Just picked up a PD trade in, same as AIM has the MPDC marked ones, but got this at a local shop for $350 with 3 mags (score). Took it home and detail stripped, by far the dirtiest Glock I have ever seen, seriously doubt this was ever detail stripped. The connector and trigger bar had 1/8 of an inch of just plain funk and the housing had enough fuzz in it to make a sweater for a small dog.

So anyway stripped down cleaned and replaced the triiger with a gen 3 17 trigger and the connector with a OEM - one. Much nicer trigger.
So afterwards I was dry firing, reloading, slide to rear, new mag seating, slide forward, new mag, and started noticing every once in a while, seemed like more times when I would drop the slide from slide lock, I would have a dead trigger. The trigger would reset but when I would press it rearward it was not engaging the striker.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing it? I have used the same trigger bar/ connector set up on multiple Glocks and the ones I used were actually spares I had pulled out of another 17 I had traded off a few months back, and they worked fine in it.

I know the Gen 3 trigger bar will work in a Gen 4 but not sure if it's backwards compatible to a Gen 2. Leave the - connector in and try the Gen 2 trigger bar and see what happens.

Don't think it is.

The early G19s had different trigger bars.

Might try replacing the striker to a newer one.
