So I am not sure if I'm missing something. I have a basically stock glock 35 gen 4. My understanding is that it comes stock with the 3.5lb connector. I added a 6lb trigger spring, polished the contact points & I'm now at consistently a 5lb trigger. This is by no means heavy, but I was expecting 4.5-4.25. I didn't get a mirror polish on the trigger bar & connector, I'm not sure if that could be the issue or if I need a heavier trigger spring or what.

How many rounds?  If low round count you have to shoot it.

My new G34 was 4.5# with a ghost trigger spring. Does your connector have a - minus stamped on it right below the curve at the very top?
I don't know if shooting it will get you another half # unless the striker needs to loosen up.

A 3.5 connector makes about a 5 and a half pound pull.
