I recently picked up a used, police trade in, Gen 3 Glock 23.  It has a compensated barrel and is stamped "DORC".  I was told it was a department of corrections but the R makes me think other wise.  Any ideas?

That would be the ND dept of Corrections.  I work for them and that is our symbol. Must have been a trade in. They shoot a fair amount oUT of them yearly  more than most PDs they are issued to SORT team members and parole/probation.

Where did you find it?

Is that a C model also? Compensated. That seems odd for a DOC to use.

That makes it even cooler.  I got it on a trade.  Yes, it is a 23C.

Thank you guys for the information.

There is very little holster wear for being a police trade-in.  Looks like that one was lightly used based on the muzzle looking near pristine.
