I have a Gen 3 G34 and picked up a threaded KKM barrel with their 2 port comp for cheap.  Shot approx 75 rds threw it yesterday and had approx. 6 rds that jammed when loading.  I have an uncaptured guide rod and tried several different springs.  It would not cycle with a 15 lb ISMI but would with a 13 lb.  Anyone have any info that can help me make this thing run smoothly?  I have been shooting 124 grn ammo from Freedom Munitions.  I do not know much about the power factor with the ammo as this competition shooting is new to me.  I do not reload and usually get the ammo from the same place.  Thanks in advance!

What kind of same..... Failure to feed, extract, eject?  Picture of how the jam looks would help.  Does the barrel have a tight chamber have you dropped a line round in the barrel alone to see how it fits?  Does it drop in smooth or does it take pressure to get it to go?

It looks like a failure to feed.  The fired round will eject but about 6 times the next live rd would kinda stove pipe at an angle.  Sorry I did not take a pic of it but will next time.

Does it do it with several mags? Seems like a mag issue to me.

Yes it done it with 3 separate mags.  All are factory Glock mags.  2 have Dawson +5 base pads and the other has a factory glock +2 extension.  I did not have any trouble with them before I put that barrel in it with the compensator.  Idk how the comp barrel would have anything to do with that tho.

Not saying it isn't possible, but I doubt it's a barrel issue as KKM is known to make some fantastic barrels. Probably the best under Barsto as far as Glock barrels go. Feed ramp have any burs, etc that might cause feeding issues?

I haven't inspected it but will when I get home.  Would it be a good idea to get the feed ramp polished?  This is the first KKM barrel I have had and it has a different coating on it than like the lone wolf I used to have.

Polishing the feed ramp should really not be necessary, but who knows, it might help. If it has any burs or something (which I doubt from KKM) then that certainly needs to be assessed.

When you get home could you set it up like the jam for a picture.  Also you say stove pipe so the empty case is getting caught up in the mix.  Could you clarify that statement because I am not sure you used stove pipe correctly.  Stove pipe refers to empty brass getting caught by the slide and not fully ejecting.  Also take a loaded round and just drop it into the barrel it should fall straight in with ease if you feel any resistance you may just have a tight chamber in which case call KKM.  Try different ammo, check the feed ramp for burs or anything unusual, does the pistol cycle when you hand cycle rounds through allowing the slide to go home on its own, try the stock RSA see if maybe you have a worn spring?

Yea I used stove pipe incorrectly sorry.  It will be a non fired round that gets stuck at an angle.  I will check the chamber when I get home and will try cycling the rounds thru it.  Also the recoil spring is brand new and has not had many rounds on it.  I will also take a pic but I do not know how to get the pic posted on this website.

I have been using 124 grn ammo from Freedom Munitions. I don't have the equipment for reloading.
