Last night I did my first detail strip of glock 43 to do a 25cent trigger job to try out before installing a ghost connector.

I didn't force anything and reassembled with no problems. Polished by hand no dremel or anything.

Now the trigger doesn't reset very consistently unless I pull the slide ALL the way back and even the "grab" on the reset is rather weak.

However, the Gun ran perfectly fine today at the range.

I'm perplexed and not very confident in it as a carry piece as a result.

Any advice? I really appreciate it.

Eta:  by inconsistent, I mean fails to reset. Thanks!

Did you fir the crucible in the slot for the spring, not laying on top?

Also, the G42 and G43 connectors are not supposed to set as close to the housing as the bigger Glocks do.---those are a sheet of paper close--the G42 is correct when received.

Check if the spring sits fully and is looped around the pin, it has tendency to catch the pin with the sharp end of the loop and will give this symptoms

To elaborate on this ^^^

How many of the numbers on the crucifom are visible when you field strip the 43? 4 or 5? The part of the trigger spring that connects with the cruciform lies in line with the barrel and is J shaped. The front leg of the cruciform must slip into the notch of the J and not on top or it will cause reset problems. The cruciform has 5 part numbers and you should only see 4 when installed correctly because the J covers the first number. It should look like this when installed correctly.

Note: not my photo; ignore "trigger spring bearing"

This is the problem, guaranteed. You didn't put it back together correctly.

You guys are awesome!! Thank you all who replied. That was exactly the problem. I hadn't put the cruciform back in the slot.

My 43 runs like a glock again!!
