| I took my Glock 19 out to the range today to try out my new Ameriglo Hackathorns. Gun was shooting a little high for me, but I was happy with the sights overall. Then about 80rds in, the orange outline ring on the front sight flew off. Not pleased. Has anyone else had this issue? I have two other sets of Ameriglo's (I-Dot Pros) that seem to use the same front sight, so I'm concerned about how well they are going to hold up. |
| Had it happen to two different Ameriglo painted dot sights. One lumidot the other square orange. They were good on replacing them. I went with plain black serrated as replacements. They did want the originals back which was a hassle as the guns were down for a week. |

They're just sights. Nobody really uses 'em in a gunfight .... Quoted:

Would you even trust the quality after that incident? Especially if it will be used on a defensive weapon. Good luck. They're just sights. Nobody really uses 'em in a gunfight .... LOL |

The tritium is still there and the sight is still usable. It's just the orange ring that surrounds the tritium vial. I managed to find it on the ground. Pic: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/mike9250/001_zpsftknrbbf.jpg Quoted:

OP can you post a photo of the sight? Is the tritium still there or is it gone too. The tritium is still there and the sight is still usable. It's just the orange ring that surrounds the tritium vial. I managed to find it on the ground. Pic: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/mike9250/001_zpsftknrbbf.jpg I have that on four Glocks. It's a pretty good endorsement that you found the orange outline on the ground. That might explain why I can occasionally find it while I'm shooting.
