From what I understand of it, they won't accept a DD-214 from former military guys for a blue label gun. Some states have an option to show veteran status right on their drivers license, though. Will Glock accept those for the program?

As far as I know, the blue label program (regarding military) is only for active personnel and retirees.
Being a veteran in itself isn't a qualifier, unfortunately.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

No you're right. Veteran status isn't a qualifier.
