I was wondering if anyone uses a Glock 26 with a Galco King Tuk holster and how they feel about it.

I don't know if its because I haven't gotten a good carry belt yet or I don't trust the holster but I feel like I'm going to shoot myself carrying it I wear at roughly 3:30 Then again I've only had my CCH since the beginning of the year and wear it at lest once or twice a week.

Make a commitment to carry every day for a month and follow through, and you'll be a lot more confident.

I've been working on doing that. Also thinking of getting an appendix holster from JM Custom.

A very popular appendix carry holster is the G-Code INCOG.

There are a lot of different belt options that are quality. A lot of people seem to like leather ones from TheBeltMan. I like HSGI's nylon belts.

I carry a G19 in an Aliengear Cloak 2.0 and my GF has a G26 in the same. She has been carrying it for a a bit of time and loves that holster.....but you have to have a good belt.

Just bought one for my 26 and I love it super comfortable can wear it all day, I use it in the 4 o'clock position and the little forward can't is perfect, gun doesn't move anywhere the only thing that I found is that it's better to put it on before you put your pants on because the clips are so tight, trying to move it to the correct position while there on its a hassle other than that it's perfect.

Another factor to consider is rapidly available and price, compared to the other high end options. Paid around $60 for it at LA police gear.

I use a 5.11 operators (I think) belt and it works fine.

Do yourself a favor and get a pair of GAP floor plates for that g26.

Yes they are. But if you want the mag caddy you want the original incog not the eclipse. The eclipse is meant to be more minimalistic. I have both, they both are great. One has two clips and can have a mag caddy one has one clip more centered.

I like the full shield on it and I have 3 holes instead of 4 on mine. My brother has 4 on his, they both work well.

Go with the Eclipse then if you aren't going to use a mag caddy. Just fyi, the holster works for the 19 as well as the 26 in case you have a 19 as well.

19 Maybe on the menu for a latter date but I got a 17 and 26 right now, also looking at a 42.

Don't wait until "sometime" to get a good belt. It's a significant part of the foundation for your successful, safe and comfortable carry. IMO it is critical, and will make all the difference.

I know and agree, however bills kinda come first. Right now I'm planning on getting it after this check and I get the holster. Only thing is, I need to decide on a belt and me being the cheap duck I am cant bring myself to spent 100 dollars on a belt...

If you are looking to get a good belt and not spend a mint check out the Galco CLB5 Carry Lite or the SB15 Sportsmans belt.  They are made of steer hide/leather and will run you less than $50.  May not be the only option out there but it may be something that you can get bye with until you can get exactly what you want.

Not a Galco King Tuk, but I'm currently breaking in a Crossbreed Super Tuck w/a G26…similar holster.
3 hours last Sat., 6 hours this passed Sat.  So far, so good.
Interestingly, over time, discomfort sets in mostly on the opposite side where my belt starts to pinch my left hip a bit.  But "it's getting there".
My overall impression is that it's a very effective concealment method.

I'm using a Bullhide 1 1/2" "dress" belt which is 3/16" thick.  Stiffer and thicker than a normal dress belt or a flimsy $15 belt, but not as thick or stiff as a 1/4" "gun belt".  It's a great belt for use with lighter guns and it doesn't look like a gun belt.
Some TSA personnel are alert enough to look for gun belts and give people who wear them extra scrutiny….who needs the hassle?

Get a decent belt, like a Wilderness Instructor or even an Amish belt would be GTG for a gun as light as the 26.  I carry my 26 in either a CompTac Minotaur (similar concept to the KingTuk) or AIWB in an RCS Vanguard.  So, get a decent belt and carry every day and you'll stop worrying about it.

I would go as far as saying the belt is more important than the holster.

Good belt for the money.  I have 3 of them.

check out concealment express too, I'm about to order my second one from them and I don't think you can beat the quality for their prices.

King tuk with a g27 for three years straight now everyday. Also been through a kydex shell I cracked working on cars in garage rolling around. Galco replaced it had it back in 7 days with a newer thicker kydex. I just ran electrical and drywall in attic crawlin around two weeks redoing everything with it on.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I may go with the 68 dollar belt and the INCOG Eclipse.

Coolio - I did think about running to Wally World and getting a good thick belt, something I may do anyhow for flying. My discomfort comes form the fact I've gained a few pounds since changed jobs... and my belt and holster tells me it...

Says a lot about you when want to lose weight. Not because you are concerned with appearance, but to make it easier to carry your gun.

I prefer to think of both, mainly health and to carry...
