I'm new to the after market pistol world and glocks in general. I am going to be putting oversize base pads on my 17 mags for shooting 3gun, uspsa, and some other local carbine matchs. I have bases picked out and the company says you don't need extra strength mag springs which I think is BS so I want to pick up some New springs.
How are ghost Inc mag springs? I did some searching and couldn't find much info on them.I honestly like supporting smaller companies when I can and though the offer a lot of glock parts they don't seem like the biggest player in the game. Though maybe they are

I run the Glock + mag extension and they do not require different spring 100% reliable I run them all the time.
Some require springs some do not depends on how many round extension the base is. I suspect if the company that makes them says they do not need them they are probably right. Need more info honestly.... |

Sorry guys this thread went unanswed for awhile and I forgot to look back... They are plus 6 extensions. They are not main stream name branded.
I actually picked mine uo on eBay but they are the same as these ... Arms Unlimted EBay seller says you don't need to put replacement springs in but my better judgement says otherwise. So that leads me to the ghost Inc mag springs I would go with the + power springs. |

17 ( or 19 rounds if running oem plus twos) should be plenty of capacity. If you are really set on plus six some sort of spare extra length and strength spring seems obvious.
My personal opinion with glocks the more you tinker with them the less reliable they get |

But these are going to be competition mags where a reload can cost you a lot of seconds for a couple shots. |
