Does anyone know of threaded barrels for the G42?  I have a Thompson Machine Poseidon to pick up on Friday (after 10 months!) and I think the 42 would make a perfect host.

I spoke to the Lone Wolf Dist guys at SAR Show in Dec and they said they were in the works but they were wanting to focus more on making Glock 42 barrels in 9mm Mak instead of .380 saying they thought there was a market for them based on increased muzzle velocity.

Will they feed from the mag?

Hmmm.
9x18 mak? I need to go look at some charts for that round.

Isn't mak ammo cheaper than 380 also?

I'd give a look at 9mm Mak - assuming it works of course.  I don't think I'd want to put it through my suppressor though as the bullet diameter is ever so slightly larger than .380 and I don't want to see the guts of my suppressor that badly.

If you're willing to buy Russian, then it's a little cheaper but you'd have to shoot a lot to make up the cost of the barrel.  My interest would be that it hits a bit harder than .380 - not as hard as 9x19 but that's not too easy for me to shoot in that size gun anyway.

I can't wait for a threaded barrel. My G42 is my only pistol without a threaded barrel. Of course, I'll have to buy a DeGroat Nano to go on it - my Octane 45 weighs as much as the gun!
