Just another Glock 26!

Hey All,
Just breaking in a new Glock 26 Gen4, and wanted to share my results.

This G26 was manufactured in early 2014, but remained NIB until Feb of 2015.

I installed Ameriglo Pro Operator night sights (part #GL-229-OP), which have the following features: Daylight=white circle front sight/faded two-dot rear.
In low light, the sights have green front/dull amber two dot rear.  I love this setup, because I find the three dot green sights to be….slow to pick up the front sight.  With the amber rear sight, I can instantly pick up the green front sight.

At the range, these sights are spot on for careful, aimed fire.  The white circle is on the small side, and wasn’t as fast on target as…..Trijicon HD’s for instance!  With some practice, I’ll improve my speed on target.

I field stripped and cleaned before hitting the range.  I hiked in to my favorite spot, on snow shoes, and fired the following ammo:
330 rounds total
50rds American Eagle 115gr FMJ
100 rds Federal 115gr FMJ aluminum case
100rds Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ
50rds Armscor USA 124gr FMJ
20 rds Federal 124gr  JHP
10 rds Remington Golden Saber “black belt” 124gr +P JHP

ZERO problems of ANY kind with this new pistol!  This is what I have come to expect from Glock pistols, and even with the cheesier ammo, ZERO problems.

I did not have paper targets to show groupings, but brought along a case of clay pigeons, and tossed them into the snow bank randomly.  This pistol was busting pigeons from 25 yds with EASE!

I’ve got 500 rds of 124gr FMJ ammo and 200 rds of 124gr Speer Gold Dot on the way, and will shoot it up and report back.

I’ve been doing a lot of double action revolver work lately, and had forgotten just how awesome the Glock trigger is!  Love the consistent pull and short reset.

Stuffed into a Milt Sparks VMII, hanging on a Beltman Belt, and carrying a spare G19 mag and flashlight…..I’m good to go!

The mag pouch is a Remora, intended for a single stack 1911 mag.....
It's supposed to be used IWB, but I use it as a pocket mag holder.....

It only works with cargo pants, as it is too bulky to wear with jeans.
Mostly, I just put a spare mag in my offside front pocket, without a mag holder......but it looked good in the pics!!

Agree with you on the 3 dots.  I have trijicon green/green on two of mine and don't really like them.  Prefer something where the front stands out, like HDs or Big Dots, or what you have.

Wow, nice eye candy!  After seeing a few Glock 26 on the different forums I frequent I just might buy one again.  I shouldn't have let the first one go.  As for night sights, I've being really hooked on Heinie Straight Eight night sights.  I have them on my Glock 30 for a few years now and I just recently installed them on my new Glock 34.  I am already planning to removing the Meprolight 3 dot adjustable night sights on my Glock 19 and installing the Heinie Straight Eight sights.

Enjoy your new Glock and be safe.

Carrying mine right now, just like almost always.  (Sometimes it's a 30sf or my Mk25... or a 19...)

Great little pistol.
