| Hello all, was wondering if you glock guys can tell me if the new gen4 glock (17) in my case, have THINNER mag well walls. Some gun shop "experts" using the term loosely said glock gen4 s thinned the mag well walls ,they said the gen 3 glock are thicker and that makes a better "tougher" frame.Didn't have time to compare the two,was drooling over a gen4 full fde glock 17 they had. Any thoughts on the full fde too would be much aprciated.don't know too much about glock. Thank you guys. |

Get whatever color you want. They work the same |
| The difference is not in the mag well walls. On the Gen 4's the upper part of the grip has been shortened a 1/4 inch. Thus- a smaller circumference. This was discussed in the Armorers course. Hope that helps. So tell the Gun Shop ninjas that the G4 is not less durable or weaker in the grip than a G3's. I can't help ya on the full FDE G17- I have no experience with them. |
