I have a gen 2 19 that I am putting Warren tactical night sights on. For some reason this 19 has some extra machining on the inside of the slide where the front sight is located. This causes the thickness of the slide in this area to be thinner.

My gen 2 17 nor any other Glock I have has this extra machining. Problem is that the bolt for the front sight bottoms out in the sight blade before it gets tight. I will need to cut the bolt shorter and hope not to mess up the threads or use a  washer in between the bolt and slide.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks

I have seen it I think. Does it look like a circle milled out a little more than the rest of the slide. I have a Glock like this but I've installed trijicon night sights on all my guns and have never had a problem not getting them tight. Put a picture up if you can and I'm sure someone will be along with more advice

I just put a 10-8 tritium front sight on my early Gen 2 G19. It did the same thing, but I just put a little more torque on it and it tightened up solid. It was more torque than I wanted to use, but I risked it and it worked out. What I noticed is that once I was done, there is a very very small gap on both sides of the sight. No harm, I don't notice it, the hole was just a tick bigger than my G19.3, G19.4 & G30SF.

Found the problem.

Sight blade came with the wrong length bolt.
Thanks for the reply's.
